Introduction to Breeze Icons

The Breeze Icons package contains the default icons for KDE Plasma 5 applications, but it can be used for other window environments.

Development versions of BLFS may not build or run some packages properly if LFS or dependencies have been updated since the most recent stable versions of the books.

Breeze Icons Dependencies

Required

extra-cmake-modules-5.109.0 and (Qt-5.15.11 or qt-alternate-5.15.11)

Optional

KDE Frameworks-5.109.0, libxml2-2.12.1, and lxml-4.9.3

Installation of Breeze Icons

Install Breeze Icons by running the following commands: 

mkdir build &&
cd    build &&

cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr \
      -DBUILD_TESTING=OFF         \
      -Wno-dev ..

This package does not come with a test suite.

Now, as the root user: 

make install

Command Explanations

-DBUILD_TESTING=OFF: This parameter disables building the testing framework, which requires some modules from KDE Frameworks-5.109.0.
