UnRar-5.9.1

Introduction to UnRar

The UnRar package contains a RAR extraction utility used for extracting files from RAR archives. RAR archives are usually created with WinRAR, primarily in a Windows environment.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-9.1 platform.

Installation of UnRar

[Note]

Note

This package extracts the tarball to the unversioned directory unrar and not the expected directory unrar-5.9.1.

Install UnRar by running the following commands:

make -f makefile

This package does not come with a test suite.

Now, as the root user:

install -v -m755 unrar /usr/bin
