          Introduction to Sharutils
        
        
          The Sharutils package contains
          utilities that can create 'shell' archives.
        
        
          This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-9.1
          platform.

          Installation of Sharutils
        
        
          Install Sharutils by running the
          following commands:
        
        
sed -i 's/IO_ftrylockfile/IO_EOF_SEEN/' lib/*.c        &&
echo "#define _IO_IN_BACKUP 0x100" >> lib/stdio-impl.h &&
./configure --prefix=/usr &&
make
        
          To test the results, issue make
          check.
        
        
          Now, as the root user:
        
        
make install
