Introduction to libkdcraw

Libkdcraw is a C++ interface around the LibRaw library used to decode RAW picture files.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-7.9 platform.

Installation of libkdcraw

Install libkdcraw by running the following commands: 

sed -e '/3/a add_definitions(${KDE4_ENABLE_EXCEPTIONS})' \
        -i libkdcraw/CMakeLists.txt &&

mkdir build &&
cd    build &&

cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$KDE_PREFIX   \
      -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release           \
      -DCMAKE_MINIMUM_REQUIRED_VERSION=3.0 \
      -Wno-dev .. &&
make

Now, as the root user: 

make install

Command Explanations

sed ... libkdcraw/CMakeLists.txt: Allow C++ exceptions that are needed for libraw-0.16.2 headers.
