Cheese is used to take photos and videos with fun graphical effects.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-7.4 platform.

Installation of Cheese

Install Cheese by running the following commands:

./configure --prefix=/usr &&
make

To test the results, issue make check. The tests must be run from a local xterm. They cannot be run over a ssh connection.

Now, as the root user:

make install

Command Explanations

--enable-gtk-doc: Use this parameter if GTK-Doc is installed and you wish to rebuild and install the API documentation.

Installed Directories: /usr/include/cheese, /usr/share/cheese, /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/cheese, and /usr/share/help/*/cheese

Short Descriptions

cheese

is the webcam tool with graphical effects.

libcheese.so

contains the Cheese API functions.

libcheese-gtk.so

contains the Cheese GTK+ widgets.
