Introduction to Geocode GLib

The Geocode GLib is a convenience library for the Yahoo! Place Finder APIs. The Place Finder web service allows to do geocoding (finding longitude and latitude from an address), and reverse geocoding (finding an address from coordinates).

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-10.1 platform.

User Notes:

Installation of Geocode GLib

Install Geocode GLib by running the following commands:

mkdir build                                   &&
cd    build                                   &&
meson --prefix /usr -Denable-gtk-doc=false .. &&

To test the results, issue: LANG=C ninja test.

Now, as the root user:

ninja install

Command Explanations

-Denable-gtk-doc=false: Allow this package to be built without GTK-Doc. Remove this parameter if GTK-Doc is installed and you wish to rebuild and install the API documentation.
