Hello,
Late the 20th of December Zas announced the birth of his daughter Thelma. In
dedication to young Ms. Thelma, hopefully future master coder of ELinks, the
upcoming stable 0.10-branch will be codenamed Thelma.
As Christmas Eve is getting only a few hours within reach, the soon to be
0.10-branch is now entering a hard freeze. That is, all changes not involving
documentation improvements or language updates are discouraged.
Translators are once again encouraged to update .po files for the next stable
branch. If you don't make it before the final 0.10.0 to be released in 1.5 days
don't hesitate to submit translation updates for successive 0.10.x releases.
Updates:
- When numbering links highlight the numeric prefixes as normal link text.
- More documentation improvements.
Bugfixes:
- Limit the use of exponential table allocations. (bug 571)
- Change an assertion in the plain-text markup renderer to a normal
bounds-check to prevent an assertion failure with _^H_.
- Compilation fixes for FreeBSD related to RC2's fix for bug 562 and
alloca() usage in the gettext code.
Add to this various smaller fixes, language updates and cleanups. The complete
changelog is available in the package.
Please, if a bug you reported in bugzilla (http://bugzilla.elinks.or.cz) has
been fixed help to close it or verify whether the bug is infact fixed.
As always you are more than welcome to join the insomniacs hanging out at the
#elinks IRC channel on irc.freenode.net if you want to report issues or meet
developers.
