Introduction to GNOME Disk Utility

The GNOME Disk Utility package provides applications used for dealing with storage devices.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-8.0 platform.

User Notes:

Installation of GNOME Disk Utility

Install GNOME Disk Utility by running the following commands:

./configure --prefix=/usr \
            --disable-static \
            --sysconfdir=/etc &&

This package does not come with a test suite.

Now, as the root user:

make install

Command Explanations

--disable-static: This switch prevents installation of static versions of the libraries.


Installed Programs: gnome-disk-image-mounter and gnome-disks
Installed Libraries: (GNOME Settings Daemon Plugin)
Installed Directories: None
