Introduction to enchant

The enchant package provide a generic interface into various existing spell checking libaries.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-7.4 platform.

Installation of enchant

Install enchant by running the following commands:

./configure --prefix=/usr &&
make

This package does not come with a test suite.

Now, as the root user:

make install

Configuring enchant

~/.enchant and /usr/share/enchant/enchant.ordering

enchant

is a spellchecker

enchant-lsmod

lists available backends, languages, and dictionaries.
